Reem Acra Displays Glamorous Gowns for Spring 2015

Reem Acra 3

Known for her breathtaking couture gowns, Reem Acra’s Spring/Summer 2015 ready-to-wear collection was a glamorous delight.

Drawing inspiration from mid-20th century Parisian courtiers and fashion photography of that era, Acra brought elegance and dramatic brio to the runway.

The vintage-inspired looks were given a modern edge via a variety of fabrics—including silk, organza, chiffon, jersey and tulle.

Our favorite looks were the reflective, luminescent pieces Acra included in the collection. The aqua-green, iridescent, embroidered gown was only one of the incredible gowns we saw light up the runway.

Acra employed a subtle color palette that was enhanced by silver and gold underlays. Florals were also a recurring element in her collection—however, Acra modernized the looks by combining the classic spring motif with low, plunging necklines and strategic cutouts. True to Reem Acra form, there was rich use of embroidery, interwoven with crystals, beading and lace. The fine attention to detail illustrated the delicacy of the pieces.

Every woman needs at least one piece from the Reem Acra Spring/Summer 15 collection in her wardrobe.
