Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection Isn’t Afraid To Look Sexy

While many designers jumped on the sportswear bandwagon for their Spring 2015 collections, Tom Ford chose a completely different look at London Fashion Week.

Ford is unique in that only he can create garments that edge up to x-rated seduction while concomitantly delivering fashion-forward elegance–and this collection was no exception.

The designer’s models showed off a glam-rock sensibility that was extremely bold when compared to the feminine collections from many other designers this season.

Almost bare breasts, bed hair, smudged eye make-up, short hemlines, and teetering platform heels were rampant on the runway, and this edgy mélange of disparate elements worked in to—and each piece was presented with brio—to stand on it’s own.

Key looks featured flared pants and tight tailored jackets done up in metallics and dark sequins. Just looking at the gold lame with sequined form-fitting tops and the black mini-dresses slit well above the thigh reveals that Ford is not afraid to show the darker, sexier side of fashion.

Ford has designed a collection that is aimed toward the girl who is confident in herself and comfortable with her sex appeal. This woman is the epitome of independence and luxury, and Ford’s clothes are the perfect reflection of this.
