3.1 Phillip Lim is Cool and Composed for Fall Winter 2015 at NYFW

Phillip Lim kept his collection cool, urban chic for Fall Winter 2015 at NYFW. In the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection, pieces stuck to a solid palette of black, white, and gray, with pops of muted green and blood red. The collection focused more on silhouette rather than a centralized theme, creating an unbound and sort of released look. Lim employed the use of dangling straps through a great deal of the pieces, which metaphorically linked to the unrestricted sentiment. Cool, loose fitting shapes contrasted with tailored skirts, trousers, and sweaters. Though the majority of the collection focused on solids, there were several pieces that employed plaid and graphic embellishments. Overall, we love the subtle rocker/street vibe that Lim managed to successfully merge with higher end glam for this collection.
