Makeup Monday…

Though you can never go wrong with glittery and metallic makeup around the holidays, why not try a green makeup look instead? Lots of Youtubers have been putting out makeup tutorials that shake up the traditional holiday look. A Youtuber called Vivecatt, for example, does the traditional cat eyeliner but with a flick of green eyeshadow over the liner and with gold eyeshadow on the inner lids. Another Youtuber who goes by Madeyewlook Twice shows viewers how to do a smokey eye with a green eyeshadow palette. Check out how Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne rock their green eyeshadow look!

Trendy Tuesday…

One trend that celebrities can’t get enough of is off-the-shoulder tops and dresses! Despite the fact that we are getting straight into the winter months, that hasn’t stopped the trend from continuing on since the summer. The best part about the off-the-shoulder trend is that it can be worn in a casual setting or in a formal setting depending on the design. Olivia Palermo sported a cotton off-the-shoulder top with puffed sleeves and cropped dark denim with pointed flats for a laid back look. Gigi Hadid on the other hand, wore a gorgeous white lace long sleeve off-the-shoulder dress for the American Music Awards for a more formal look. Emma Watson wore the trend in-between the two extremes in a white off-the-shoulder top with mesh sleeves paired with black trousers and short black heels. To rock this trend at holiday parties, try wearing an off-the-shoulder dress in velvet!

Wear-It Wednesday….

This winter it’s all about the full length coats! And we don’t just mean a little long, but almost to the floor long! Full length coats have been seen all over the streets by celebrities and fashion bloggers alike. In 2016, everything has to be bigger, bolder, and better and that includes the coat that you wear. The great thing about a full-length coat is that it takes very little effort to bring a casual outfit like a t-shirt and jeans to a wow factor simply by throwing on a dramatic floor-length coat. Take it from Karlie Kloss and Victoria Beckham!

Throwback Thursday…

A flashback that sends us right into the 1930’s and 40’s is the retro ruffled shirt! However unlike the traditional ruffled shirt in the heydays, modern ruffles now come in a great variety. Jaime King was spotted in a silky burgundy pajama set that had large vintage looking ruffles on the collar, the sleeves, and on the trim of the shirt. The shirt also included a navy blue neck tie detail. Nicki Minaj took the cover of Marie Claire magazine earlier this year in a suede powder blue turtle-neck top that had large ruffles as the centerpiece of the top. Another way that ruffles have been seen this year is on the sleeve from the elbow to the wrist for a flouncy look.

Fun Friday…

Who says that cold weather accessories can’t be fun? Well Kate Spade would definitely disagree as they are known for being on the cute but daring side of fashion. Their accessories this winter are anything but boring! Their line this season includes classic bunny slippers with a Kate Spade twist, fuzzy earmuffs with a giant bow on top, and a winking beanie just to name a few. How will you accessorize this winter?
