Makeup Monday…

You can never go wrong with the classic winged cat eyeliner, but 2017 is the year to break out of the same old makeup routine and to try something a little new! According to Refinery29, there’s a simple way to upgrade the cat eyeliner by leaving out a triangular section of the eyeliner right where the arch of your eyebrow is. And just like that, you have the edgier version of the cat eyeliner that hasn’t been done for ages! How would you change up your eyeliner?

Transformation Tuesday…

A hot new trend has emerged at some spas in Japan and a few in New York that involves a bottle of sake! The sake isn’t for drinking, but it’s used for your bath water! The Japanese skin experts have discovered that the popular rice wine has some surprising skin and health benefits. The kojic and amino acids that arise from the fermentation has the ability to brighten skin and fade dark spots and are often used as an ingredient for anti-aging products. Sake is also known to soften and moisturize the skin! Luckily this treatment is easy to do at home. Just pour two 75 milliliter bottles of sake in a tub of hot water. Another option is to buy the Rice Sake Bath at Sephora!

Wear-It Wednesday…

With the cold weather lately, it’s essential to have winter staples in your closet. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t stand out from the crowd. A popular winter trend amongst celebrities is a bold puffer jacket, specifically metallic puffer jackets! Recently, the Hadid sisters, Gigi and Bella, were both spotted in the same silver Tommy Hilfiger puffer jacket on different occasions. Bella wore her puffer over a black sports bra and a pair of black joggers for a chic athleisure look after the gym. Gigi wore her puffer with a thick white turtleneck sweater underneath it and a pair of light wash denim and light grey heel boots. Their fellow model friend, Kendall Jenner, also wore a metallic puffer but in gold. Kendall paired it with a plain gray tee, black leather pants, shiny black combat boots, and topped it off with a yellow and blue printed scarf around her neck. How would you wear the metallic puffer jacket?

Throwback Thursday…

Nothing screams the 90’s quite like platform shoes. A possible reason for the comeback trend could be due to Stella McCartney’s line of chunky colorblock platforms, which has become a staple amongst the fashion forward crowd. In fact, Olivia Palermo was spotted in them and paired it with an all-white suit for a polished, yet easy going look as she strolled around New York City. Emily Ratajkowski also wore the same Stella McCartney platforms but with a mini black leather skirt and a black crop top for an extra 90’s look. During Paris Fashion Week, Karlie Kloss sat in the front row with black laced up platform boots and wore it with a color block dress layered on top of a turtleneck to tie together her vintage look. How would you wear platform shoes?

Fun Friday…

Move over rose gold hair, cause there’s a new color trend in town and it’s blorange! That’s right, blorange. It’s a blend of blonde and orange that looks kind of like a sunset or a tropical drink and it’s sweeping the Instagram world like crazy. If you’re afraid to do this look on your entire head, try asking your stylist to do a subtle ombre first to see how you like the bold look. Once the color is faded it’ll look more like a peach pastel color, but who wouldn’t want that? Nothing like a warm hairdo for the cold winter months!
