Transformation Tuesday…

Is your skin suffering from air pollution? Well not to worry, because we have three tips on how to fight it! First of all, if you live in an urban area it is especially important to cleanse your face every night to rid the skin of any dirt or toxins that the skin might have been absorbed throughout the day. Some experts even recommend double cleansing by using a gentle foaming cleanser and then wiping the face with micellar water to further get rid of the dirt deep in the pores. Another great defense against the city grime is to stay hydrated. Hydration helps the skin generate cell growth and improve elasticity and circulation. And finally, never skip out on antioxidants. Foods like goji berries or spinach are great sources of antioxidants that will create a barrier for the skin to resist free radical damage.

Wear-It Wednesday…

Now that spring is just around the corner, it’s time to put away the heavy winter coats and invest in a lightweight jacket for those brief chilly mornings. A chic spring jacket that would be perfect to throw on would be a double-breasted plaid blazer! Ever since its appearance in the Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2016 runway show, the trend has quickly caught on. Victoria Beckham paired her plaid blazer over a white button-up shirt and red hot trousers for a bold and sophisticated look. A street style fashion girl paired her plaid blazer over a simple white long-sleeved tee and leather mini skirt with black ankle boots for an easy going yet chic look. How would you wear the plaid blazer?

Throwback Thursday…

On the 2017 Fall/Winter runway this year, the vintage collared dress made a few appearances, which indicates that we will be seeing a lot of it very soon. However, the modern take on this trend tends to include details like bold patterns or a bold cuff on the sleeve. At the Gucci runway show, many of the collared dresses included colorful floral patterns or sheer lace or a combination of the two. Some of the looks also featured strong shoulders, a necktie, and exaggerated bell sleeves. It’s no surprise that many of the looks feature vintage details since Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci, has been inspired by Renaissance paintings and aristocratic English-eccentric lately. Would you sport the modern collared dress?

Fun Friday…

Logo nail art is popping up more than ever before, especially after the Marc Jacobs and Balenciaga runway shows! Not only has it been appearing on the nails of models, but it is also a popular street style trend as fashion girls sport the atheleisure look with their favorite brands on their nails. Some popular logos include Nike, Adidas, and Supreme. What logos would you choose for your nails?
