Makeup Monday…

As inspired by the street fashion in Paris last week, here is a round-up of the best selling French beauty products! First up is Chanel’s Les Beiges foundation, which provides an excellent base with medium coverage, while still keeping a fresh and natural look with the added bonus of SPF 25 to protect the skin. The next beauty essential for French girls is of course a bold lip, which no one does better than Yves Saint Laurent with their Rouge Pur Couture lipstick line. If you’re looking for a neutral color that works with a variety of skin tones and eye makeup looks, then try it in the shade Bois De Rose. This rosy neutral not only provides a chic look, but it is also made to hydrate the lips and last all day. Finally to finish off the Parisian look, spritz on the Love Story perfume by Chloé for a romantic and floral scent that was inspired by the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris that is filled with locks placed by lovers from all over the world.

Transformation Tuesday…

Want the Japanese secret for glowing skin? Find skin products that have sake in them! The age old secret is that the rice wine will break down old skin cells and penetrate deep into the skin to prevent skin discoloration and overproduction of melanin. And best of all, it does all of this without stripping the skin of any moisture. If you’re looking for a moisturizer for all skin types, then give Boscia’s Sake Balm Bounce Moisturizer a try for brighter and smoother skin thanks to vitamin C, glycol acid, and jojoba leaves. The SK-II Facial Treatment Essence will also do the trick as they are one of the pioneers for bottling the sake yeast strain for their award winning product after discovering that sake brewers had perfectly smooth hands from working in the fermentation process and then their revolutionary product was born. Would you give the sake facial a try?

Wear-It Wednesday…

Tulle isn’t just for wedding veils or tutus anymore. As we have seen on the runway, it can be used as the foundation of a skirt, on the hemline of a sleeve, or even as a blouse! If you’re looking for a spring piece with tulle, try the J.Crew cardigan sweater with a tulle-hem at the bottom. Or look for the entirely tulle Miu Miu dress, which would be great for layering a casual, laid back look. For a dressed-up, fashion-forward party look, search for Molly Goddard’s layered tulle Oksana dress, which comes in black or navy blue. It’s safe to say that tulle is officially taking over as a staple item for spring!

Throwback Thursday…

We’re feeling nostalgia about the early 2000’s after viewing the classic brown Louis Vuitton logo everywhere in New York, Milan, London, and Paris! Though the revival of the famous print was brought about by the creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, it’s the style icons, celebrities, and bloggers alike that responded overwhelmingly to the comeback of the old Louis Vuitton style. After many years of seeing the Louis Vuitton logo being recolored, or decorated with different patterns like checks, polka dots, or snakeskin, it seems that fashion girls are finally back to the basics and embracing it for what it’s worth. However, this time we are seeing the iconic brown print in new forms like phone cases, small box purses, or mini backpacks!

Fun Friday…

Want slick hair like the models on the runway for your next night out? Simply part your hair in the middle and clip up the top part of your hair. Starting from the bottom layers, apply holding gel and brush it through while using a blow dryer to help set the gel. Unclip the next layer and repeat the process all while tucking your hair behind your ear as you brush the gel through to get that slicked back look. After the top layer is done, brush on a thin layer of baby oil gel to boost up the shine. And there you have it, a slick hair-do like Bella Hadid!
