Hi Lives of Style audience! It’s Michael. I wanted to address an issue I see a lot in LA. Keri from West Los Angeles emailed me and I’m going to lead off my Mondays with Michael blog with her question.

Hi Michael,

I’ve over processed my hair. It is fried and looks too blonde. What can I do?

Help!

Keri

Hi Keri,

Don’t worry. Your hair will be okay.

When people are over bleached, I like to use a color buildup technique. This process entails leaving out the new regrowth, then the first layer of color is warm, the second layer is golden warm, and the final layer will be the natural color.

When building up color, I prefer using glosses for this technique, but you can use color as well.

It will take up to three visits to achieve the look.

Good luck! Have patience you will get your color back!

Remember anyone can send in questions so please email me at michael@livesofstyle.com

xo,
Michael
