Versac-i-fication of Gaga — Versace Will Design Costumes for Lady Gaga’s U.S. Tour

Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace

Lady Gaga has recently been taunting her fans with teasers of her upcoming music video for new single “Cake,” shot by famed photographer, Terry Richardson. Just when her “little monsters” thought they couldn’t take any more, Miss Gaga leaked some exciting news. The singer and style icon — one of the ten we are thankful for this November — confirmed via twitter that the famed Italian fashion house Versace will create all of her clothes and costumes for the “Born This Way Ball” U.S. tour.
Both Donatella Versace and Lady Gaga have a similar attitude when it comes to fashion–neither is afraid to be bold or to take risks.

It is no secret that the 26 year-old pop sensation is “gaga” for Versace. She even visited the designer’s Italian palazzo in October, shocking everyone when she posed topless on Donatella’s balcony. The “Born This Way” singer has also been spotted sporting several of Versace’s outfits in the past few months, including the infamous safety pin dress originally worn by the gorgeous Liz Hurley in 1994. Donatella Versace has also gushed about Lady Gaga. At her New York store opening, Versace called Lady Gaga “fabulous” and “fearless.”
News of this inspired collaboration has everyone excited. With Gaga’s U.S. tour set to begin in January 2013, fans won’t have to wait too long to see Versace’s custom designs, which are sure to be worthy of the Mother Monster herself.
