Karl Lagerfeld Opens a New Signature Store in Paris Tomorrow!

Karl Lagerfeld

Karl Lagerfeld is reintroducing his brand into the retail world tonight with a new store in Paris! According to Pier Paolo Righi, the chief executive officer at Lagerfeld, this opening in the trendy Marais district of Paris could lead to the release of over 100 stores worldwide! Already there are plans for a second store in Amsterdam’s Negen Straatjes, or “Nine Little Streets” neighborhood. As for the rest of this year, the intent is to open 10 more boutiques in Europe. At the opening, there will be a preview of Lagerfeld’s fall collections and the chance to place pre-orders.

The boutique itself mirrors Lagerfeld’s fashion style, with rock ‘n’ roll influences and black and white textures. “It should be really inviting for a very broad audience that wants to engage with Karl’s world,” Righi said. The prices will range from 25 euros, or $33, for a lipstick, and will range up to 1,700 euros, or $2,200, for a shearling coat. Due to Lagerfeld’s overwhelming online presence, the store will be brimming with iPads, which will function as digital look books, a guest book, and a companion in the fitting rooms for taking pictures of outfits.

At the opening party tonight, there will be a live stream at karl.com, where virtual guests can post questions on a Twitter wall! Don’t miss out!
