Jennifer Aniston’s New Haircolor — Baby Blonde — Fits New Cropped Cut — Colorist Talks

JENNIFER CANALE COLOR

6 November 2013

It’s a baby blonde for Jennifer Aniston, as the honey-haired actress goes lighter for a fab new look for her fresh short hairdo.

Friday afternoon Jen headed for renowned Beverly Hills colorist Michael Canale–who colored her hair for years from her Friends days (he co-created The Rachel with Aniston’s hairstylist–and Canale’s business partner in their Malibu salon–Chris McMillan)–to get the perfect hue for her hair. Canale said the look is “removing the gold tones – and bringing out a baby blonde hair color.”

He calls it, “The lightest and the brightest in soft tones…a soft-toned blonde–” which, he predicts, will be the hot color for the holidays.

Canale—whose clients are among the most famous celebrities in the world, is known for meticulous experimentation into the chemistry of hair color and is a master at creating color that is individualized.

Canale, who makes multi-colors, from baby blonde golden blonde, warm blonde and carmelized brown, doesn’t use a toner but is actually “making the color.” And, he adds, “We pull the foils off the hair at the right time to ensure proper color.”

Canale even created special highlighting for Aniston – “veining”– paper thin highlights all around the face so that the hair shows movement, and also accents the sides of the face.

“She is much more ‘popped’ throughout, Canale says, “fading to a darker tone in the back. Very blonde and then blonde then to darker tones.”

We also learned that Aniston’s hair was NOT DAMAGED FROM A KERATIN TREATMENT, but, Canale says, was “on-set blow drying and wear and tear.”

Canale said, “We did a whole new look to bring out the whole new hair style.”
