Vera Wang Unveils Her Inner Gothica at NYFW!

Vera Wang’s own personal aesthetic came through boldly in her strong fall winter 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week. The pieces reflected Wang’s signature dark style, and ranged from heavy knits and coats to a series of dramatic, sheer gowns. Blacks and grays took over the runway with a periodical pop of stripes and plaids. Wang played around with metallics as well, ranging in color from deep purple to muted bronze. Pieces were dark and expressive, featuring grim, draping cloaks and elbow-length leather gloves. There was an underlying element of romance heightened by an edge of boyishness. Gothic vibes ran fluidly through the entire, super wearable collection. None of the pieces were too exaggerated and featured just the right amount of darkness and grace.
