H&M Enlists Actress Kate Mara And Stylist Johnny Wujek For Fashion Week Project

H&M and Vogue have called upon actress Kate Mara and stylist Johnny Wujek to style nine H&M windows for New York Fashion Week.

The pair will be showcasing the fashion label’s fall collection with a New York theme, reports WWD. The collection, which was first shown at Paris Fashion Week in February, will be styled for “the uptown girl, the downtown girl, the girl on the go, who is chic but hustling,” says Wujek, who also works closely with Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry.

“It was a no brainer for us to work together on this as we both have a true appreciation for accessible high fashion and our favorite city of New York,” said Mara.

The windows will highlight Kate Mara’s chic and approachable style, bringing to life her favourite pieces while showcasing the collection’s accessibility. Wujek plans to complement Mara’s fashion nods, weaving in his quirky, bold personality and keen eye for style to the windows.

“We compromise,” explained Mara. “Some of the pieces will be things I wouldn’t necessarily wear because not every girl is going to want to dress like I do.”

The displays will be revealed at the H&M Fifth Avenue flagship store on 4 September, kicking off New York Fashion Week.
